Hudson Parents, Staff, and Students:
For the November 2024 Blog agenda, I'd like to take a moment to reflect and provide a simple 'thank you'.
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude for the incredible Hudson community that makes our school district a special place. This season reminds us of the importance of reflection, connection, and gratitude. It’s a time to pause and appreciate the dedication and partnership that keeps our school progressive and strong.
First and foremost, I’d like to recognize our outstanding teachers, counselors, nurses, and other staff. Their hard work, dedication, and compassion are the foundation of our schools. Day after day, they go above and beyond to inspire, love, and support our students. They create a safe and engaging environment conducive to learning. They inspire, and I am grateful for the difference they make.
Secondly, I am grateful for our student body. They are always full of energy, curiosity, and kindness, and they are the heart of everything we do. Our students provide a source of joy and pride for us. I am always amazed at the behavior of our student body as a whole. With nearly 2,800 students enrolled, we sometimes deal with a handful of issues, but collectively, we could not ask for a better population to work with. They are simply amazing and for that…I thank them.
Next, I want to thank our parents, families, and community members for their unwavering support and involvement. With all of us working together, Hudson ISD makes an incredible impact. Thank you for your partnership and for entrusting us to educate and provide wonderful opportunities for your children.
Although this blog emphasizes my gratitude to these particular groups, I would be remiss if I did not mention our veterans. With today being Veteran’s Day, we celebrate and are all grateful for the love and dedication this group has for our country which has made our educational system and other freedoms possible. If you are a veteran, thank you for your service. Your dedication, service, and sacrifices do not go unnoticed.
As we celebrate this season of giving thanks, let’s remember the importance of kindness, love, empathy, and togetherness. May you have a restful Thanksgiving, filled with peace, joy, and gratitude. Of all stated, let’s remember the true source of all peace, joy, and love. May God bless you during this season. I look forward to continuing our journey together.
May God bless you all,
Donny Webb, Superintendent
